USE IT OR LOSE IT
A new year and a fresh start! It’s a great thing for your resolutions but a new beginning for your dental benefits can mean a missed opportunity and a loss. Most dental insurance plans are on a calendar year and you will lose all your unused benefits after December 31st.

There are three times you should make it a priority to schedule dental care before next year:

When you have unused benefits. Most dental plans cover 100% of

preventative procedures. You should treat your benefits like a coupon that is about to expire.

2. When you have met your deductible. If you have already met your

deductible for the year (or you are close), it’s worth making time for non- emergency care for lower out-of-pocket costs.

3. When you have paid your premiums. Someone has paid for it! Whether it be you or your employer, you should make sure you use what you have paid for.

It is a great time of year to take advantage of what your dental services provide. And an even better time if you have outstanding treatments. Here are some examples of services you will want to schedule to get all your benefits before you miss the opportunity.

Routine Check-ups

Extensive Treatments

The end of the year is the perfect time to get started on dental treatments that involve multiple visits. Especially if you have already met your deductible and haven’t reached your annual maximum. Your out-of-pocket expenses decrease dramatically once your deductible is paid and makes it the ideal time for larger dental treatments.
