Invisalign uses a series of clear almost invisible aligners to straighten the teeth. No metal wires or brackets are needed as with traditional braces. When you come in for your Bellevue Invisalign, our dentist first makes a unique custom made tray precisely designed to fit your teeth. We then fabricate a series of aligners using state of the art 3-D computer generated graphics to calibrate each piece, in a finely crafted sequence that is then translated to a complete set. At each stage, you’ll receive a different aligner that will move your teeth slowly over time to its desired position. Invisalign aligners can number as little as 12 or as many as 48, depending on the level of straightening needed. Each set is worn for two weeks and then replaced with the next aligner. The great thing about wearing Invisalign is that besides being invisible, they can be removed for eating, brushing or flossing.

Invisalign braces can take up to a year to align depending on the severity of the misalignment, sometimes more. Treatment time varies but usually takes the same length of time as traditional braces.
